Wayne B. Addis

Wayne B. Addis is a founding member of Addis Greenberg & Schultz, L.L.C. His practice emphasizes criminal defense, surety, construction law, representation of general and specialty contractors, and municipal law. He represents clients in a wide variety of litigation matters before Federal and State Courts, arbitration and mediation panels and administrative agencies. With over 29 years of experience, Mr. Addis has achieved tremendous results both at trial and through settlement.

Before joining the firm in 1989, Mr. Addis was a staff attorney for Colfax Corp. and its sister corporation, National Wrecking Company, widely recognized asbestos abatement and demolition contractors. He received special education and certification in asbestos abatement management from the University of Illinois School of Public Health.

Mr. Addis also spent seven years as Assistant State's Attorney for Cook County, serving as a First Chair Felony Trial Assistant and Civil Litigator, handling complex criminal and civil matters on behalf of the government of Cook County. He also was appointed as a Special Assistant State's Attorney to the President of the Cook County Board, defending Cook County on cases involving both local and national significance. At the inception of his legal career, Mr. Addis served as a Felony Trial Attorney for the Cook County Public Defender's Office.

Mr. Addis is a graduate of Northern Illinois University (B.A. 1975) and Northern Illinois University College of Law (J. D. 1978).

He is admitted and qualified to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar since its inception in 1982, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit.
